BASF increases cathode material capacity in China to 100,000 TPY

The company will install new lines to manufacture high-nickel, ultra-high-nickel, and high-manganese NCM CAMs for EV battery manufacturers.

German chemical company BASF announced via press release on 15 June that its majority-owned subsidiary in China BASF Shanshan Battery Materials Co., Ltd. (BSBM) will be expanding its cathode active material (CAM) manufacturing capacity in the country to 100,000 tons per year (TPY).
