Lynas receives USD120 million DoD contract to set up heavy rare earths separation facility in the US


The facility is expected to help the growing EV industry in the US localize and strengthen its electric motor material supply chain

Australian rare-earths mining company Lynas Rare Earths announced via press release on 14 June that its wholly owned subsidiary Lynas USA LLC had signed a US120 million contract with the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) to set up a commercial Heavy Rare Earths (HRE) separation facility in the US.
