JSW Steel to invest USD2.5 billion to expand capacity by 10 million TPA


The company’s capacity expansion is expected to help meet India’s demand for steel projected to rise by 7.5% this year

Indian business newspaper Financial Express reported on 31 May that Indian steel company JSW Steel will be investing USD2.5 billion (INR20,000 crore) to expand production capacity in the country by 10 million tons to 36 million tons per annum (TPA).
