With plans to invest more than USD1.07 billion in the proposed EV facility, BMW aims to launch series production of the fully electric Neue Klasse in 2025

German luxury carmaker BMW has laid the foundation stone for its new electric vehicle manufacturing plant in Debrecen, Hungary, it announced on 1 June 2022. BMW said that the company is planning to invest EUR 1 billion (USD1.07 billion) in setting up the EV plant, which is slated to produce the new fully electric Neue Klasse in 2025.
