Nexteer, Continental expand brake steering technology partnership with new software functions
Enhanced automated solutions include added safety without the need of additional hardware
CNXMotion, the joint venture between Continental and Nexteer has further expanded its Brake-to-Steer (BtS) technology with two new software functions that provide backup safety layers for all variants of Electric Power Steering (EPS) and Steer-by-Wire (SbW) systems and across all SAE levels of driving automation from level 1 to level 5, Nexteer said in a press release on 23 May.
