Collaboration enables efficient use of electricity, reduce stress on the grid by rewarding drivers

DTE Energy has announced that the German automaker BMW has joined General Motors and Ford Motor Company in the second year of the DTE Smart Charge program, an initiative to optimize electric vehicle (EV) charging to help reduce stress on the energy grid, according to a press release published by DTE Energy on 9 May.
