Li-Cycle deepens cooperation with Ultium Cells, to expand battery recycling operations
Li-Cycle’s Ohio Spoke facility will have the capacity to process up to 15,000 metric tons of battery manufacturing scrap and battery materials per year
Deepening its cooperation with Ultium Cells, the JV between General Motors (GM) and LG Energy Solution (GM-LG), Li-Cycle Holdings Corporation, a leading lithium-ion battery recycler in North America, is setting up its sixth and largest recycling facility at the former’s battery cell manufacturing mega-factory site in Warren, Ohio, the company announced on 27 January 2022.
