Hyundai Motor partners IonQ to deploy quantum computing in EV battery advancements
Hyundai and IonQ plan to lay down the foundation to develop better quality EV batteries by more precisely simulating and controlling their chemical reactions
Korean carmaker Hyundai Motor Company has partnered IonQ, a leading trapped-ion quantum computing company, to develop new variational quantum eigensolver (VQE) algorithms to study lithium compounds and their chemical reactions involved in battery chemistry, the company said on 19 January 2022.
