Albermarle partners with 6K to develop new battery material manufacturing process


The company is expected to use the startup’s UniMelt plasma tech to increase battery performance and introduce sustainability in the production process

US fine chemical manufacturing company Albemarle announced via press release on 13 January that it had signed a joint development agreement (JDA) with advanced materials startup 6K to develop lithium-ion (Li-ion) battery materials using 6K’s patented UniMelt manufacturing process.
