German research institute ZSW scales up battery material manufacturing with new plant


The plant will help produce cathode materials in batches of up to 100 kg

Center for Solar Energy and Hydrogen Research Baden-Württemberg (ZSW) through the project “Powder-Up!” will set up a new pilot plant that can produce high-performance cathode materials in batches of up to 100 kg to meet present and future generations of lithium-ion (Li-ion) batteries, the company announced in a press release on 15 November.
