Ford recalls 2011–13 Explorers over rear knuckle assembly manufacturing issue


The Explorer's rear knuckle assembly’s CABJ can possibly corrode and fracture the toe link’s outboard section.

According to NHTSA Safety Recall Report 21V-746 submitted on 24th September, automaker Ford Motor Company is recalling certain model year 2011–12 Explorers to address a ZF rear knuckle manufacturing issue.
