Velodyne’s lidar-based traffic monitoring solution to be used at 25 intersections as part of USD6 million road network project in Irvine

According to a press release published on PRNewswire on September 28th, Velodyne Lidar announced that its Intelligent Infrastructure Solution had been chosen by the HORIBA Institute for Mobility and Connectivity2 (HIMaC2) at the University of California, Irvine (UCI) Samueli School of Engineering. As part of a major study on improving traffic and energy efficiency, road safety, and air quality, HIMaC2 intends to equip 25 intersections at UCI and the neighbouring City of Irvine with Velodyne's lidar-based Intelligent Infrastructure Solution.
