Foxconn and PTT sign JV agreement to make EVs in Thailand


The companies have drawn up a 5–6 year investment plan entailing USD1–2 billion on new plant, supply chain, and R&D operations

Taiwan-based electronics manufacturer Hon Hai Technology Group, also known as Foxconn, and Thailand’s energy company PTT Public Company Limited (PTT) have signed a joint venture (JV) agreement to develop and manufacture electric vehicles (EVs) in Thailand, Foxconn said in a press release on 14 September 2021.
