Opening comes amid sustained high demand for microelectronics

According to an official press release dated 17 September, Infineon Technologies has opened a EUR1.6 billion (USD1.9 billion) plant in Austria, increasing the German semiconductor company's ability to supply power chips for cars, data centers, and renewable energy generation.
