South Korean vehicle manufacturer Hyundai Motor Company is considering expanding its electric sub-brand Ioniq with more compact models mainly based on the company’s dedicated EV platform, electric-global modular platform (E-GMP), along with a successor to the all-electric Kona, EV publication reported on 14 September, citing Thomas Schemera, global chief marketing officer at Hyundai Motor.
