Startup Redwood Materials to produce Li-ion battery materials in the US

The company intends to shift a portion of the existing Li-ion battery supply chain from Asia to the US

American battery recycling startup Redwood Materials Inc. announced via press release on 14th September that it will be producing anode copper foils and cathode active Li-ion battery materials in the US and supplying them to battery cell manufacturers. The company expects to announce a site to manufacture these materials by early 2022.
