Toyota unveils EV battery strategy, plans to invest nearly USD14 billion by 2030


Toyota is aiming to achieve a development cost reduction of up to 50% per EV compared to the current costs by 2030

Unveiling its electric vehicle (EV) battery strategy to the media and investors in a press conference on 7 September, Japanese carmaker Toyota Motor Corporation said that it plans to invest nearly JPY1.5 trillion (USD14 billion) on developing the battery supply chain and research ande development (R&D) by 2030.
