LG Energy secures EV battery materials from Australian Mines for six years

Under its agreement, LG Energy will have access to 71,000 tonnes of nickel and 7,000 tonnes of cobalt for six years starting from the end of 2024

South Korean battery maker LG Energy Solution has secured 100% rights to the battery-grade nickel and cobalt materials from Australian Mines Ltd for six years, starting from the end of 2024, the company said in a press release on 16 August.
