Foxconn acquires USD90.8 million wafer plant from Macronix to produce EV chips

Foxconn has purchased a chip plant from Taiwan chipmaker Macronix International for USD 90.8 million, according to an official press release dated 5 August, as the electronics giant looks to make auto chips as it enters the electric vehicle (EV) market.
