Nidec views proposed JV as key to achieve traction motor production target of 10 million units in 2030

Japanese electric motor manufacturer, Nidec Corporation is in talks with Taiwan’s Foxconn (Hon Hai Technology Group) and its subsidiary Foxtron Vehicle Technologies to set up a joint venture for developing electric vehicle (EV) drive systems and also learn about the open EV platforms, the company said on 21 July.
