Senator argued that autonomous vehicles could help eliminate many deaths caused by human error

According to a press release on The Hindu dated 17 June, the U.S. Senate Commerce Committee again rejected attempts to lift regulations to allow for the deployment of thousands of autonomous vehicles, as union groups and attorneys campaigned against the legislative proposal.
