Indian government makes front passenger airbag mandatory in all new cars from 1 April

Driver seat airbag is already mandatory in all passenger cars in India since 1 July 2019

The Indian government has made fitment of airbag for front passenger seat mandatory in all new cars from 1 April, Autocar reported on 7 March. The existing cars on sale will have time till 31 August 2021 to comply with new rule.
