Indian government proposes mandatory fitment of airbag for front passenger on all vehicles

All new vehicles manufactured from 1 April will have passenger airbag; for existing models produced currently the deadline is 1 June

The Indian government has proposed to make it mandatory for automakers to offer airbags for front passenger in all new vehicles manufactured from 1 April 2021, the Mint reported on 29 December.
