CPUC to allow robo-taxi operators to charge for rides in California

Commission’s guidelines could still take months before AV companies can charge for autonomous rides in California

The California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) has allowed robotaxi operators to charge for rides in their autonomous vehicles (AVs) in California, United States, The Loss Angles Times reported on 19 November. However, to become eligible for that, these companies will have to get approval from CPUC which could take several months.
