Rules propose that the lower 45-megahertz of the 5.9 GHz band (5.850–5.895 GHz) be available for Wi-Fi

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) of the United States has proposed a new draft allowing the lower spectrum of the 5.9 GHz band be available for unlicensed services such as Wi-Fi, according to a press release issued by the group on 28 October.
