GM will withdraw its earlier exemption petition that it filed in 2018 for operating the Cruise AV on US roads

General Motors (GM) and its autonomous driving subsidiary Cruise are planning to seek regulatory approval from the US government to deploy autonomous vehicles without conventional controls such as brake and accelerator pedals and steering wheel, Reuters reported on 21 October.
