Global automotive camera sensors market forecast to more than double in six years
A growing focus on safety, driving comfort, and automated/autonomous driving features and functions are expected to drive the global demand for camera sensors in coming years
Camera sensors are the most widely used sensing technologies in cars, supporting various active safety and advanced driving assistance system (ADAS) applications, such as forward collision warning (FCW), automatic emergency braking (AEB), lane departure warning (LDW), lane keep assist (LKA), and traffic sign recognition system (TSR). Camera-based sensors excel at identifying and classifying objects such as other vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists, in addition to detecting and reading road signs, while some are also able to detect colors.
