New rear-view mirror features a 2-megapixel (MP) camera and high-resolution display

Panasonic has collaborated with Nissan Motor to develop camera-based rear-view mirror for the new Nissan Kicks compact sport utility vehicle (SUV), the Japanese automotive supplier said in a press release on 26 August. The intelligent, frameless rear-view mirror features a 2-megapixel (MP) camera and high-resolution display coupled with Panasonic’s advanced image processing technology to deliver superior image definition and night-time visibility. In the new rear-view mirror, camera is mounted at the rear window to reduce blind spots owing to rear-seat passengers and deliver improved rearward facility.
