COVID-19 pandemic: Hyundai, Aptiv redeploy autonomous vehicles to deliver meals in Las Vegas

Hyundai Motor Group and Aptiv, which established an autonomous driving JV in March 2020, have deployed self-driving vehicles in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States to deliver meals to vulnerable people, VentureBeat reported on 11 May. The JV’s three self-driving BMW 5-Series sedans are supporting ‘Delivering with Dignity’, a program launched by Clark County officials in March to provide meals to vulnerable families at the risk of contracting novel coronavirus (COVID-19) infection.
