COVID-19 pandemic: ACEA estimates EU-wide production loss of 2.31 million vehicles due to plant shutdowns

The comprehensive suspensions of vehicle manufacturing activities in the EU, including the United Kingdom, to prevent spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, have resulted in the production loss of at least 2.31 million vehicles, according to an estimate by the European ACEA, released on 5 May.
