The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has caused severe disruptions in the automotive supply chain globally, and as cases of COVID-19 continue to increase, automakers and automotive suppliers around the world are suspending production operations. The increasingly stringent federal and state government conditions on workplace attendance, in addition to the closure of nonessential businesses globally, are also forecast to severely impact the automotive industry in the short term.
