The automotive industry has a history of stepping up to help in times of war, and this tradition seems strongly in evidence as all parts of the supply chain have responded rapidly to the shortage of key medical equipment and especially ventilators needed to combat the current pandemic caused by the spread of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) virus.
