Global demand for auto-dimming interior mirrors is forecast to see robust growth
Auto-dimming mirrors are expected to see rapid growth in its demand in coming years, although manual mirrors will continue to have a strong but declining market share
The interior rearview mirror (IRVM) has been an integral part of a vehicle’s cabin for more than 100 years. An IRVM helps the driver to not only keep an eye on the vehicles at the back, but also helps in the key maneuvering of reversing and parking. Such a mirror can be either manual (prismatic) or automatic dimming depending on how it reduces brightness and glare from the vehicles at the back. In manual mirrors, drivers can reduce the glare by using the flip switch on the mirror.
