Waymo, UPS team up on self-driving pilot project

Waymo’s self-driving Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid minivans will shuttle packages from UPS Stores in the Metro Phoenix area to the UPS Tempe hub in Arizona

Waymo has partnered with UPS for package delivery in Arizona, the United States using its self-driving vehicles, the company said in blog on 29 January. As part of the agreement, Waymo’s self-driving Chrysler Pacifica minivans will shuttle packages from UPS Stores in the Metro Phoenix area to the UPS Tempe hub, both in Arizona. The pilot service, schedule to begin in the current quarter, will not involve package delivery to consumers.
