FCA Group in talks with Foxconn to set up new JV for EVs, IOV business in China


Two partners are in the process of signing a preliminary agreement

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) is in discussion with Taiwan-based Hon Hai Precision Ind. Co., Ltd (also known as Foxconn) to set up an equal joint-venture (JV) to develop and produce battery-electric vehicles (BEVs) in China, the automaker confirmed in a press release on 17 January. The JV will also be active in Internet of Vehicles (IOV) business.
