CES 2020: Pioneer develops next-gent 3D-LiDAR sensor that can measure distance of up to 500 meters

Company also presents mass production model of ED-LiDAR sensor at the CES this year

Pioneer Smart Sensing Innovations Corporation (PSSI), a wholly owned subsidiary of Japanese electronics company Pioneer, is developing a next-generation of 3D LiDAR sensor that will be capable of measuring long distance of 500 meters, the company said in a press release last week. PSSI displayed a prototype model of this new sensor at the CES 2020 last week in Las Vegas, Nevada, the United States.
