The system will allow customers to deploy autonomous driving at on-road and off-road locations and in all weather conditions

Oxbotica has teamed up with radar specialist Navtech to jointly develop a radar-based navigation and perception system, the UK based self-driving technology company said in a press release on 8 January. The system, scheduled to be launched this year, will allow customers to deploy autonomous driving in both on-road and off-road locations and in all weather conditions. According to the two partners, the system will not be reliant on any external infrastructure and can operate on its own or can be combined with other location services driven by GPS, lidar or laser vision, as part of Oxbotica ’s modular and integrated approach.
