Mahindra will have controlling stake of 51% in the proposed JV which is expected to start operations in mid-2020

Ford has signed a definitive agreement with Indian automaker Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) to establish a joint venture (JV) that will develop, market and distribute Ford brand vehicles in India, the two companies said in a press release on 1 October. The JV will also be responsible for selling Ford brand and Mahindra brand vehicles in select emerging markets.
