IAA 2019: Schaeffler showcases third-generation of ‘Space Drive’ technology for autonomous vehicles

Company also showcase latest enhancements in ‘Schaeffler Mover’ platform

At the IAA 2019 in Frankfurt, Germany, Schaeffler is presenting its third-generation ‘Space Drive’ technology and the latest enhancements made to its ‘Schaeffler Move’ platform, the company said in a press release on 9 September. Space Drive is a drive-by-wire technology for tomorrow’s autonomous and connected vehicles. It comprises a triple-redundant electronic interface that operates vehicle steering, accelerator and braking functions.
