First investments by Volvo Cars Tech Fund outside the US and Europe

Volvo Cars has invested in two Israel-based startups, UVeye and MDGo, through its corporate venture capital (CVC) investment unit, Volvo Cars Tech Fund, the Swedish carmaker said in a press release on 22 July. UVeye specialises in automatic external inspection of vehicles using advanced technologies that includes proprietary hardware combined with machine learning and computer vision algorithms. MDGo specialises in what the company terms as medical artificial intelligence (AI).
