Automakers required to get NEV credits equivalent to 14% of annual sales in 2019, going up 2% every year up to 2023

China has proposed to increase new energy vehicle (NEV) credit requirement in 2021 to 14%, which will further rise to 16% in 2022 and 18% in 2023, according to a report by Auto News Herald on 11 July.
