Toyota begins testing automated driving on public roads in Europe

Japanese automaker will test automated driving technology in a Lexus LS vehicle on a fixed loop in Brussels for 13 months

Toyota has started testing its automated driving technology on public roads in Europe, the company said in a press release on 11 July. Toyota Motor Europe (TME), the European subsidiary of the Japan-based automaker, is testing its in-house developed automated driving system in a real life urban setting, in city center of Brussels, Belgium.
