Technology disruptions have led to the evolution of vehicle access systems from traditional lock-and-key systems to keyless entry technology. Keyless vehicle access control systems are fully automated systems featuring an electronic locking feature that secures access to the vehicle electronically, substituting for the conventional mechanical key. Keyless vehicle entry systems gained a lot of traction in the market thanks to two major factors: increase in demand for application-based technologies and multifactor authentication for vehicle safety; and the rise in worldwide automobile production. Keyless vehicle access systems include remote keyless entry systems and passive keyless entry systems.
