Apart from higher wages, UAW workers are eligible for USD2,500 signing bonus under new, four-year labor contract

Faurecia’s union workers at its Saline plant in Michigan, United States, have ratified a new four-year labor contract with the company’s management, Automotive News Europe reported last week. According to the new contract, hourly pay for operator with less than a year of experience would increase from USD13 to USD13.50 today to USD20.25 by 1 May 2023. Process technicians’ pay would increase from USD22 per hour to USD24.75 and skilled workers’ pay would go up from USD32 per hour today USD36. In addition, workers will be eligible for signing bonus of USD2,500. The new wages would be paid retroactively from 1 June 2019.
