Airbiquity, Wind River collaborate on vehicle-to-cloud OTA solutions for connected and automated vehicles

Joint solution will include Airbiquity’s OTAmatic software and data management and Wind River’s Edge Sync OTA update and software lifecycle management solution

Airbiquity and Wind River have joined forces to develop a software lifecycle management solution for connected and automated vehicles through the cloud, the two companies said in a joint press release on 4 June. The joint solution will include Airbiquity’s OTAmatic software and data management and Wind River’s Edge Sync over-the-air (OTA) update and software lifecycle management solution. The combined solution is expected enable secure OTA software update and data management over the entire lifecycle of a vehicle. Apart from automotive, the two partners will offer the solution to medical, industrial, aerospace, military and telecommunication industries.
