Daimler, BMW, Ford, Volvo and others to test Car-to-X technology

The 12-months Car-to-X trail will start in the Netherlands and is expected to gradually be extended to other EU countries

Daimler, BMW, Ford and Volvo Cars have joined forces with HERE Technologies and TomTom and transport authorities in six European countries to test car-to-everything (Car-to-X) communication technology in Netherlands, Daimler said in a press release on 3 June. These project partners signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) at ITS European Congress in Eindhoven (the Netherlands). The 12-months Car-to-X trail will start in the Netherlands and is expected to gradually be extended to other European Union (EU) countries.
