ams partners with ZF and Ibeo to jointly develop solid-state lidar systems

The three partners aim for rapid adoption of their new solid-state lidars by 2021

Austria-based sensor specialist ams has partnered with ZF and its lidar subsidiary Ibeo Automotive Systems to develop solid-state lidar system for use in autonomous driving and other applications, ams said in a press release on 20 May. The three partners will conduct joint R&D efforts to ensure that their new lidar solution can be quickly adopted by 2021.
