Hyundai Mobis has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Russia-based Yandex for joint development of an artificial intelligence (AI)-based autonomous driving platform, the company said in a press release today (20 March). The two companies are aiming for fully autonomous driving for use in unmanned mobility services like robotaxis. Hyundai Mobis and Yandex also plan to expand the scope of collaboration to include AI technologies for voice and video recognition as well as infotainment.
