Geely partners with Qualcomm, Gosuncn to mass produce 5G and C-V2X-enables vehicle in 2021

Automaker also expects its vehicle to offer Level 3 autonomous driving in two years

Chinese automaker Zhejiang Geely Holding has partnered with Qualcomm Technologies and Gosuncn Group to begin commercial production of vehicles featuring 5G and cellular vehicle to everything (C-V2X) communication in 2021, Gosuncn said in a press release today. Qualcomm will help Geely with 5G and C-V2X products based on its Snapdragon Automotive 5G Platform through Gosuncn Group, a company specializing in Internet of Things (IOT). Qualcomm launched its Snapdragon Automotive 5G Platform earlier this week at the 2019 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain.
