Governmental regulations and guidelines are playing a crucial role towards ADAS adoption

The global rise in the number of vehicles on the roads has led to rapid rise in road accidents, resulting in fatalities and partial or full disabilities as well as other minor injuries. People across the world, living in both developed and developing regions, have to face the risk of road accidents. According to the World Health Organization, an estimated 1.25 million people die each year from road crashes, which is also the leading cause of death among people aged 15-29 years (World Health Organization, 2018). Additionally, these crashes cost most of the countries somewhere around 2-3% of their annual GDP. Human error, especially distracted driving, is the main reason behind road accidents and accounts for more than 80% of all the road crashes.
